What You’ll Like About This Job

FortisBC is seeking Electrical Engineers for a full-time role based in Surrey, BC, to support capital and operational projects involving control and instrumentation systems in gas transmission infrastructure. This position includes system design, field inspections, technical mentorship, and SCADA integration. Ideal candidates will be P.Eng. certified, with several years of experience in oil/gas or utility environments.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 4–7 years of experience in gas or energy projects
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in BC
• Knowledge of CSA codes and electrical/instrumentation design
• Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, DCS, and control systems
• Strong communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills
  
  

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Experience with LNG, CNG, or compressor station controls
• Ability to lead field commissioning and system upgrades
• Familiarity with utility standards and documentation practices
