Qualifications and Skills
- B.ASc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering with a Structural major. Master's degree encouraged;
- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or EIT with EGBC;
- Structural design experience in concrete, steel, and wood; 2 years minimum
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- A working knowledge of the BC Building Code;
- Ability to accurately read and interpret drawing plans.
- Positive, team-oriented and a creative thinker who likes a challenge;
- Someone who communicates clearly and concisely;
- A multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment;
- Organized, efficient and confident.
- Assist in detailed structural design under the guidance of the structural team leader.
- Maintain an active role from design development and into construction.
- Maintain ongoing communication and coordination with design consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Possess a solid understanding of relevant codes and standards related to design responsibilities.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of project outcomes.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and actively support the promotion of our core values.
- Contribute to expanding the team's technical knowledge and resources.
- Approach problem-solving with creativity and innovation.
- Collaborate with a passionate, focused, and committed team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
