Summary
National Refrigeration is currently seeking Summer Students to support and work as part of a team in a flexible manufacturing environment, using a variety of tools and machines to produce commercial refrigeration equipment.
As a Summer Student, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Hours of Work: 40 Hours/ week working on our Day or Afternoon Shift
Shifts: Day Shift (Monday – Friday; 7 am – 3:30 pm) or Afternoon Shift (Monday – Thursday; 4 pm – 2:30 am)
Wages: $23.84/ hr for the Day Shift and $23.84 + $1.02 Shift premium ($24.86/ hr) for the Afternoon Shift

- Abide by designated organizational as well as provincial safety guidelines, at all times
- Follow all production procedures, as instructed, and perform all work to manufacturing specifications
- Work effectively, as part of a team, in a unionized environment to ensure quality and productivity
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools related to the manufacture of commercial refrigeration equipment;
- Ensure the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to
- Participate in educational and training sessions as necessary
- Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements To Apply/ Be Successful
- Be 18 years or older prior to your start date
- Returning to school in the fall
- Experience working with hand and power tools/ working with your hands
- Ability to work safely in a flexible and adaptable manufacturing environment
- Willingness to learn and receive constructive feedback
- Stand for the full shift (8 or 10 hours)
- Lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift
- Bend and twist regularly throughout the shift
- Climb ladders regularly throughout the shift
- Use various hand & power tools regularly throughout the shift
- Perform work at/ above shoulder level regularly throughout the shift
- Power and pinch grip with both hands consistently throughout the shift
