The Position: The Kit Assembler will ensure consistent, accurate and timely assembly of Trudell Healthcare Solutions Inc. Custom Kits.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly and Packaging:
- Ensure accurate assembly of plastic components into finished goods and sub-assembly products following Work Instructions (WIs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Health and Safety procedures and Quality Policy Objectives.
- Create and print labels for manufacturing orders.
- Ensure manual assembly, labelling, and packaging of components.
- Handle parts finished goods, and materials throughout the production area as required.
- Inspection and Documentation:
- Perform visual inspection of components and finished goods to ensure absence of non-conformances.
- Ensure process is stopped and Manager or designate is notified when process is not yielding desired results.
- Generate assembly orders from product kits using D365.
- Ensure accurate Device History Records.
- Ensure manufacturing orders are based on priority in D365.
- Perform status updates and changes to Manufacturing Orders in D365.
- Communicate any scheduling needs with Production Scheduler.
- Accurately prepare and maintain timesheets as well as other required documentation (e.g. log sheets, etc.).
- Ensure line clearance and opening activities are performed as directed.
- Ensure line cleaning verification is performed and completed as requested.
- Secondary school diploma.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a team environment.
- Ability to manually, and with automated equipment operation, assemble, label, package and box small components and finished goods in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to visually detect very small (i.e. ½ mm) non-conformances in shape, size, colour, etc., and functionality non-conformances in components or products.
- Knowledge of a quality system program.
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Ability to successfully complete WHMIS and other Health and Safety training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office skills, especially in Excel.
- Cleanroom production environment.
- Infrequent interruptions.
- Overtime eligible.
- Compensation based on a regular work week of thirty-seven and one half (37.5) working hours.
