Job Description
Senior Scrum Master with proven experience in agile methodologies to lead, mentor, and facilitate cross-functional product teams in delivering user-centric digital services within a large-scale government transformation initiative.

Senior Scrum Master with proven experience in agile methodologies to lead, mentor, and facilitate cross-functional product teams in delivering user-centric digital services within a large-scale government transformation initiative.
Must Have skills
- Facilitating agile ceremonies and coaching teams on agile principles
- In agile project methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Aligning sprint planning with product owner priorities and backlog management
- In software development processes and associated tools/standards
- Working on agile, service-design based product delivery in complex organizations (public sector or large enterprise)
- In web services or development
- Maintaining positive stakeholder and executive relationships
- Working in or for the public sector
- With UX, service design, design thinking, or human-centered design teams
- Submission must include two detailed project examples addressing 5 evaluation questions (project overview, sector, value, approach, tools/tech)
- Lead and mentor agile teams across digital service transformation projects
- Facilitate key agile ceremonies: planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, demos, and refinement
- Coach teams on agile delivery practices and improve sprint planning and execution
- Collaborate with product owners on road-mapping, reporting, and release planning
- Track delivery metrics using agile artifacts (burndown charts, backlogs, etc.)
- Contribute to digital service delivery activities including research and usability testing
- Remove blockers, manage team communication, and maximize delivery transparency
- Duration – 12 months
- Extension – Up to 24 months
- Hours – 36.25 hours/week (7.25 hours/day)
- Location – Remote within Canada; occasional in-person sessions in Edmonton, Alberta
- Travel for research/user interviews in Alberta may be required; travel expenses not billable
