We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer who will have expertise in Snowflake and Azure Data Factory. You will be involved in building and managing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions within the Azure ecosystem.

In this role, you will

  • Develop and maintain warehousing using Azure native services and Snowflake.
  • Design and build scalable ETL workflows using data bricks and data factory for all data ingestion and retrieval from the data platform.
  • Lead technical discussions, advocate for standard processes, and ensure solid data foundations and high standards in data engineering workflows.
  • Develop end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable data movement across different stages, from ingestion to consumption.
  • Use Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other relevant services to orchestrate and optimize data workflows.

What You’ll Need To Succeed (required Skills)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • In depth knowledge with hands-on experience in building pipelines with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Proven experience in assembling large complex sets of data that meets non-functional and functional business requirements.
  • Experience in identifying designing and building integration modeling and orchestration of complex data and at the same time look for process improvements optimize data delivery and automate manual processes.
  • Prior experience in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Key Vault Logic Apps DevOps (CI/CD) are highly preferred.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client office in Vancouver, BC. The annual salary for this position is between CAD $123,500 to $145,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
