Position Requirements

  • Summer Production Student, $20.00 per hour, overtime after 44hrs/week
  • All other employment conditions will follow the Employment Standard Act, 2000
  • 7:00 AM/PM– 7:00 AM/PM; set schedule for the whole summer
  • Work days:
  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday
  • Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Duties

  • Operate equipment and complete checks to ensure compliance with production, process & quality specifications
  • Observe panel indicators, gauges, other instruments to detect equipment and/or product issues
  • Record and adhere to quality specifications related to weight, colour and functionality requirements
  • Assist with heat breaks within Production as part of the Company’s Heat Stress Awareness program.
  • Perform additional duties as required by Supervision in compliance with relevant legislation and safety procedures.

Ideal

  • 18 years of age, and completion of Grade 12 required
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset with the ability to work safely and productively
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods of time with the ability to perform repetitive movements
  • Good communication, ability to work as a team, and in cooperation with colleagues on a shift of 35+ people
  • Reliable with a great attitude.
