WHAT YOU’LL DO…
As the Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating procurement, logistics, and inventory to ensure the smooth flow of materials and supplies. You take great pride in optimizing workflows, managing vendor relationships, and coordinating the movement of materials and orders to support operational efficiency. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The role involves developing supplier relationships and contributing to broader supply chain objectives. You will share ideas about the best way to purchase and maintain our inventory so our production & project management teams can continue to create the fun features we provide for communities across the globe.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supplier Sourcing & Onboarding – Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules while maintaining quality.
- Work with production teams to manage material demand and prevent stock-outs. Coordinate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
- Manage third-party outsourcing processes for machining, assembly, and fabrication. Ensure materials for third-party services are delivered and returned on time.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities via alternative sourcing, volume discounts, process optimization, and transportation options.
- Identify inefficiencies in procurement and logistics workflows and implement solutions.
- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions, delays, or quality issues.
- Support freight quoting for orders being released.
- Coordinate international and domestic shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Arrange and book transportation, including ocean freight, air cargo, and trucking services.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies to ensure accurate and efficient customs clearance.
- Monitor shipments in transit, provide tracking updates, and resolve any transportation delays or issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CCLP, CLTD, CPSM) is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
OTHER INFORMATION:
- This is an onsite position located in Kelowna, BC. (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna, BC).
- This position works Monday to Friday, 8-hour days.
