We Invite Applications For The Position Of
Grade 12 education supplemented by one year of formal post-secondary accounting education such as first year CPA and completion of an office administration program certificate; typing speed of 40 wpm; proficient in Microsoft EXCEL, WORD, and relevant Microsoft Office Suite programs; minimum of two years of current relevant accounting experience; experience in the use of relevant office equipment; meets the physical requirements of the position; ability to work independently and as a member of a team; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities
Duties are performed under the supervision of the Manager of Finance or designate; maintains required accounting records covering bank reconciliation, receipting, issuing of cheques, purchase orders, school trust funds and other accounts, and invoices, according to procedures established by the district; ensures compliance with Board policies and procedures, and compliance with current statutory accounting requirements; prepares and delivers bank deposits as required; follows proper work procedures, observes all regulations pertinent to the work, maintains a good working relationship with other employees, and cooperates in maintaining a healthy learning and working environment; performs reception relief duties as required; performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
