SimCorp Business System Analyst – PBOR

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a SimCorp Business Analyst – PBOR to Configure and support Fund Administration and Financial Accounting modules in SimCorp Dimension, ensuring alignment with PBOR processes and regulatory standards. Support investment finance and NAV reporting, translate business requirements into system solutions, and resolve issues through root cause analysis. Collaborate across investment operations to optimize workflows and deliver clear documentation and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and Configure SimCorp Performance Manager:

o Lead the configuration, customization, and optimization of SimCorp Performance Manager to meet business performance measurement needs.

o Ensure accurate and timely calculation of performance metrics across portfolios.

• Support Investment Performance Processes:

o Leverage expert-level knowledge of investment performance to support performance measurement, attribution, and reporting functions.

o Validate performance data accuracy and resolve discrepancies in coordination with data and operations teams.

• Work with Multi-Asset Class Instruments:

o Apply a strong understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.) to ensure appropriate configuration and interpretation within performance systems.

• Collaborate with Technology and Investment Teams:

o Operate within a technology/solution delivery team at a multi-asset class investment firm to support system enhancements, testing, and deployment.

o Act as a liaison between investment teams, IT, and external vendors to ensure aligned requirements and smooth delivery.

• Enhance System Workflows and Automation:

o Contribute to the development and refinement of workflow orchestration and runbooks, supporting production schedules and day-in-life processes within SimCorp.

• Integrate and Support Cross-Platform Solutions:

o Assist with system integrations involving tools like Charles River, Aladdin, Calypso, Bloomberg, etc., ensuring consistent data flow and performance reporting.

o Support the design of holistic investment solutions that align with front, middle, and back-office needs.

• Utilize DevOps Practices for Delivery:

o If applicable, support system delivery and configuration management through Azure DevOps pipelines and work tracking tools.

• Document and Communicate Effectively:

o Prepare detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and performance methodologies.

o Communicate findings, updates, and risks clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Must Have:

o 5+ years Expert level knowledge of Investment Performance

o 3+ years Hands-on experience and deep knowledge of SimCorp Performance Manager

o 3+ years Strong working knowledge of Financial Instruments

o 2+ years Demonstrated work experience within a technology/solution team with a multi-asset class investment manager

• Nice to Have:

o 1+ year Working knowledge of Azure DevOps

o 3+ years Working knowledge of other leading asset management solutions such as Charles River, Aladdin, Calypso, Bloomberg, etc.

o 3+ years Strong knowledge relevant SimCorp day in life, workflow orchestration, production runbook.
