SimCorp Business Analyst – ABOR

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a SimCorp Business Analyst – ABOR to Configure and support Fund Administration and Financial Accounting modules in SimCorp Dimension, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory needs. Collaborate with finance and investment teams to optimize NAV processes and reporting. Translate business requirements into system solutions, resolve issues, and support cross-functional operations through effective analysis, documentation, and communication.

Responsibilities:

• Configure SimCorp Dimension Modules:

o Lead the configuration of the Fund Administration and Financial Accounting modules within SimCorp Dimension.

o Implement and maintain features such as General Ledger, Finance configuration, fund-of-fund structures, and instrument life cycle accounting.

o Ensure the modules are tailored to meet specific organizational and regulatory requirements.

• Support Investment Finance and NAV Processes:

o Apply expertise in investment finance and net asset valuation (NAV) domains to ensure accurate financial and operational reporting.

o Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to align system outputs with business requirements and valuation standards.

• Gather and Translate Business Requirements:

o Work with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document high-level conceptual requirements.

o Translate business needs into specific, actionable system features and configuration changes.

• Conduct Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis:

o Investigate and resolve system issues by conducting detailed root cause analysis.

o Propose, design, and implement solutions that align with both business goals and technical best practices.

• Collaborate Across Front, Middle, and Back Offices:

o Engage with teams across the entire investment operations lifecycle to ensure solutions support end-to-end business processes.

o Align system configuration with operational workflows across various investment departments.

• Communicate and Document Effectively:

o Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

o Produce high-quality documentation for business requirements, system configurations, and support procedures

Qualifications:

Must Have:

• 5+ years Demonstrated experience in configuring the fund administration module or financial accounting module in SimCorp Dimension (for example, configuration experience in Fund Administration, Finance configuration, General Ledger, Accounting for fund of fund structure, instrument life cycles)

• Demonstrated experience with an investment finance or net asset valuation domains

Nice to Have:

• 3+ years Demonstrated ability to identify and translate high level, conceptual user requirements into specific business requirements (features) with attention to detail, and analytical skills to solve problems, research, and perform root cause analysis, to guide development activities.

• 3+ years Demonstrated experience in a role from which strong operational knowledge, with a view of investment management industry, including experience in front, middle and back-office processing.

• 3+ years Demonstrated experience in roles requiring strong verbal and written communication skills
