Join the team driving the future of medical assessment in Canada. As the Senior Business Analyst, you’ll support the implementation and growth of a national Workplace-Based Assessment (WBA) model, helping onboard provincial Practice-Ready Assessment (PRA) programs.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Technology, you’ll collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to analyze workflows, identify improvements, and define business requirements. You’ll lead fit-gap analyses to align current PRA processes with a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) platform and help refine a scalable operating model that supports data capture, reporting, and AI-powered insights.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the analysis and documentation of current (“as-is”) workflows, systems, and practices within PRA programs.
- Conduct fit-gap analyses to compare current practices with the future-state WBA model and platform capabilities
- Identifies gaps, risks, and areas requiring configuration, change management, or process improvement.
- Translate findings into actionable business requirements and user stories to support platform configuration and development.
- Identify business capabilities and service delivery models required for scaling WBA from pilot to full product implementation.
- Build strong working relationships with PRA program leads, MCC operational teams, and the WBA project team.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and collaborative design sessions to gather input and ensure buy-in.
- Assist in defining business readiness plans, training needs, and documentation required for successful implementation.
- Contribute to onboarding plans and transition activities, ensuring PRA programs are supported through adoption of the COTS platform.
What you need to succeed
- Minimum 5-7-years of experience in business analysis, including system/process analysis and interested party engagement.
- Demonstrated experience conducting fit-gap analyses and onboarding teams onto new technology or platforms.
- Experience working on software implementations including major COTS deployments.
- Experience applying adult learning principles to develop training for technical implementations
- Familiarity with government-funded projects or pan-Canadian initiatives is a strong asset.
- Experience working in healthcare, education, or regulated professional environments is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., process mapping, use cases, requirements traceability).
- Familiarity with software implementation life cycles (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid).
- Excellent facilitation, interviewing, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, Teams, Visio, and business analysis tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse interested party groups.
- Understanding of qualitative data analysis methodologies and reporting
- Understanding of change management principles and frameworks
- Experience with AI tools for data analysis is an asset
- Experience with the Risr/Advance platform or similar e-portfolio assessment tracking software is an asset
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work autonomously
- Team player able to work across multi-disciplinary functional teams
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Strong judgment, discretion, and diplomacy in interested party interactions
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field.
- Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP)
- Change Management Certification (e.g. Prosci)
- PMP, Agile (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe), Prince2, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or Black Belt.
- Advanced oral and written skills in English are required, with oral and written skills in French considered an asset
