Advisor/Business Analyst HRIS (Workday) – Payroll and Benefits

In close collaboration with other team members and SMEs from the centers of expertise, you play a crucial role in managing and optimizing HR systems through your curiosity and creativity.

Workday is the main HRIS, but you will also be involved in managing and configuring systems peripheral to Workday.

Key Responsibilities :

Operations management:

  • Support, diagnose, and resolve system anomalies under your responsibility ;
  • Assist team members in resolving anomalies ;
  • Maintain the HRIS: ensure consistency of actions, test and configure during biannual releases, and ensure data integrity ;
  • Actively participate in production follow-ups to detect potential conflicts upstream.

Projects and optimization :

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement projects;
  • Gather requirements from different teams, analyze and recommend options;
  • Configure, test and implement solutions;
  • Ensure the transition of delivered projects to operational mode;
  • Recommend best practices and support colleagues for modules under your responsibility;
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement of the system and participate in their implementation;
  • Write documentation and ensure its distribution and updating.

Support :

  • Contribute your knowledge and expertise to the HRIS team;
  • Coach less experienced team resources.

Education, Experience and Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, information technology or related discipline;
  • Good knowledge of human resources practices and processes, particularly payroll and benefits;
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in configuring and managing an HRIS for payroll and benefits;
  • Experience in business needs analysis and problem solving;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative mode;
  • Rigorous and organized;
  • Ability to adapt, take charge and work with ambiguity;
  • Ability to work to firm deadlines, multitask and manage priorities effectively;
  • Ability to learn new technologies;
  • Good overall knowledge of the Workday system (a strong asset);
  • Knowledge of American payroll and benefits (an asset).
  • Intermediate level of English required, as training, documentation and communications with the HRIS vendor are primarily in English and will occur on a weekly basis; the individual will also be required to communicate orally and in writing with the company's U.S. subsidiaries on a weekly basis.
