Fully remote work may be considered for the right candidate, however preference is for candidates able to work hybrid at our Edmonton or Vancouver office.

The Role

As a Solution Architect at Elantis, you’ll be responsible for delivering solutions based on Microsoft Modern Work capabilities:

• Design end-to-end Modern Work solutions using Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, Viva, and OneDrive.
• Guide organizations through the transition from legacy systems to Modern Work solutions, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Lead or support migrations from on-premises or third-party platforms to Microsoft 365 (e.g., OpenText migrations to SharePoint)
• Integrate Microsoft 365 security features such as Microsoft Defender, Purview, Conditional Access, and data loss prevention (DLP).
• Integrate third party applications and tools into SharePoint.
• Support identity and access management strategies using Azure Active Directory.
• Define and implement governance models for Microsoft 365 services, including information architecture, lifecycle management, and user adoption policies.
• Develop scalable, secure, and user-centric architectures aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, identify pain points, and align technology solutions with strategic objectives.
• Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and technical assessments.
• Produce detailed design documentation, runbooks, and user guides.
• Conduct handover and training sessions for administrators and support teams.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout the project lifecycle—from planning and design to implementation and support.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for Modern Work initiatives.
• Ensure clients’ compliance with industry standards, best practices, data protection regulations, and organizational policies.
• Stay current with Microsoft roadmap updates, emerging features, and best practices to continuously optimize Modern Work environments.
• Recommend improvements and enhancements to drive user productivity and collaboration.
  
  

On the technical side, here are some of the skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Minimum of five years of client-facing project delivery experience.
• Experience in consulting roles.
• Experience managing teams.
• Experience implementing Microsoft 365 Modern Work solutions, particularly SharePoint and Purview.
• Experience in migrations, from SharePoint on-premise to SharePoint Online, and from other legacy platforms to SharePoint Online.
• Experience developing and modifying PowerShell scripts.
• Experience working with databases and APIs.
• Post-secondary education in a technology related field or equivalent experience.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications.
• Articulate, excellent communication skills.
• Able to confidently advise clients on solutions.
• Able to context switch and manage multiple client commitments.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking ability.
• Able to manage billable time and work efficiently.
• Able to work with project managers and technical teams to complete projects on time and on budget.
