Job Summary:

As Vencora continues to grow, we’re expanding our M&A marketing function to support our acquisition strategy and strengthen our presence among founders, investors, and financial intermediaries.

We’re looking for a Director of Marketing to lead the development and execution of a marketing strategy that positions Vencora as the acquirer of choice in the global software space working closely with M&A deal teams. You’ll be responsible for telling our story to the market, shaping our brand, amplifying our voice, and building high-impact content and campaigns that support deal origination and founder engagement.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

M&A-Focused Strategic Brand Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of a marketing strategy and implementation plan aligned with Vencora’s acquisition goals
  • Position Vencora as a founder-friendly, trusted acquirer in the financial software ecosystem
  • Own and evolve brand messaging to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with corporate goals
  • Proactively identify marketing risks and develop mitigation strategies

Digital & Content Marketing

  • Lead the overhaul and management of Vencora’s website to reflect our M&A focus, portfolio growth, and thought leadership
  • Create compelling marketing content including founder case studies, acquisition announcements, videos, and newsletters
  • Lead SEO/SEM and social media efforts to increase visibility among target audiences

PR & Communications

  • Develop and execute communication plans to support acquisition announcements
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders (employees, press, partners) to control the narrative
  • Act as a liaison with financial services industry media, coordinating press releases, interviews, and media briefings

M&A Enablement

  • Partner with the M&A team to develop high-quality marketing materials for founder outreach, presentations, and founder communications
  • Align marketing initiatives with deal origination strategies and pipeline priorities

Events & Industry Engagement

  • Lead Vencora’s presence at M&A, private equity, and software industry events and trade shows
  • Plan and co-host events to build relationships with founders, advisors, brokers, and bankers

Marketing Infrastructure & Operations

  • Own and manage marketing budget, measure and assess ROI
  • Build and scale marketing tools, content systems, and analytics infrastructure
  • Manage external vendors and freelancers (design, web, copywriting) as needed
  • Track marketing KPIs related to M&A funnel performance and brand awareness leveraging internal CRM

Talent development

  • Cultivate a high-performing, collaborative, and motivated team who understand and demonstrate how their role contributes to the bigger picture, setting and driving the culture across the function
  • People management of direct reports including the attraction and retention, development and building capability, engagement, establishing scorecards and KPIs, and monitoring and measuring progress

What We're Looking For

  • 12–15 years of experience in marketing, ideally in M&A, private equity, B2B software, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of the vertical market software industry and founder-led businesses
  • Proven success in developing brand and marketing strategies to support deal origination
  • Excellent storytelling, content creation, and communication skills
  • Experience building and scaling digital marketing infrastructure (web, SEO/SEM, analytics)
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with investment professionals
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field; Master’s or MBA is an asset
  • High proficiency in written English
