Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Product Manager to join our client.
Contract Period: 18 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: Starting from $63 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid; In office 2 days a week -Tuesday is anchor day
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; Core Business Hours

Job Responsibilities
- Partner with management to support the delivery of a product vision
- In alignment with the product vision, create and maintain a product backlog and continuously re-prioritize user stories that will provide the most customer or end user value
- Review performance analytics; recommend and champion strategies to enhance the customer or end user product experience
- Proactively engage established business process partners to ensure customers or end users are prepared for application changes and establish Day 2 processes
- Manage delivery initiatives and oversee development team (pod) backlogs
- Consider development team and stakeholder feedback in backlog management, facilitating conversations with multiple stakeholders representing competing priorities
- Understand the internal business and technical environment, proactively defining, aligning, or integrating with relevant stakeholders, shared services control groups (or platform as appropriate
- Monitor the regulatory environment, emerging issues, trends, and partner with the senior management to consider changes to product strategy as needed
- Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for own area of expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit
- Contribute to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship of others, by sharing knowledge and experiences and leveraging best practices
- Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally
- Communicate difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders
- Work autonomously as the lead and guide others within area of expertise
- Undergraduate degree or product management certificate, and / 7 or more years relevant experience
- 3 or more years Product Owner or Agile related delivery experience
- Previous product experience typically required
- Thorough understanding of Canadian money movement capabilities and eco-system, and thought leadership required to understand the ever-changing online money movement and payments landscape
- Advanced knowledge of and ability to conduct product research, product analysis and development, forecasting, pricing, competitive intelligence
- Knowledge of competitor and market trends
- Skill in preparing and managing budgets
- Skill in using analytical software tools, MS Office, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
