A Public Sector client is seeking a Junior Financial Specialist to support financial. This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for someone looking to apply their financial acumen in a federal government environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Planning and coordinating financial management activities in DRMIS including financial estimates and business requirements
- Developing business plans
- Determining resources required for the implement activities such as acquisition costs, operation, and maintenance costs and both recurring and non-recurring costs
- Assisting in developing costs for specific activities such as: professional services, services, goods, and overhead costs of employees
- Planning and reporting on the use of funds to meet the goals of the organization and maximize its value
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A college diploma or university degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial or accounting support roles
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant Systems Applications and Products (SAP) financial management experience within the last five (5) years
- Must have 2 years of experience in the Public Service Sector
- Bilingualism (English and French) at an intermediate level
- Must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance at the time of submission
- Duration: From contract award to September 2026, with potential two 1-year option periods
- Location: Onsite at client location in West-end Ottawa Ontario
