We’re looking for a social media obsessed designer with exceptional motion design experience. You are extremely knowledgeable in social media platforms, know the latest social trends, and understand the importance of paid and organic campaigns.

This contract role with full time hours is integral to the newly created social media Centre of excellence (COE) as you’ll be driving the creative concepts for the big Campaigns as well as dreaming up assets aimed to entertain our customers across all social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret creative briefs and deliver engaging, on-brand, social-friendly assets for a variety of audiences across the enterprise (beauty, grocery, lifestyle, loyalty, etc.)
  • Ideate & execute static and motion concepts for social media channels across multiple brands for campaign, paid media and organic
  • Offer a confident creative POV while working collaboratively with other creative and social team members, and internal and external stakeholders (i.e. marketing teams, videographers, producers, etc.)
  • Pitch, present and champion the best ideas & concepts to senior team members
  • Research and provide recommendations based on best practices as well as industry and consumer trends, with a focus on emerging social trends
  • Meticulous attention to detail of all creative is maintained according to brand guideline and standards


What You’ll Need

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in design, new media arts, creative advertising or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience working in an agency or in-house creative environment
  • Motion design skills using After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Portfolio must include social media work and demonstrate social media-first abilities
  • Working knowledge of lighting and ability to capture social video content a bonus
  • Always delivering assets on-time and on-brief.
  • Ability to articulate and present your work to internal and external teams
  • Positive and proactive approach to problem-solving – resourceful and innovative with an ability to see the bigger picture
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail; with organizational, communication and project management skills; and with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
