Agilus is recruiting for a Dimensional Quality Manager in the Automotive Manufacturing Industry.

This role ensures stamped parts meet strict dimensional and GD&T standards from digital design to physical production, using advanced simulation, measurement, and quality tools to deliver first-time-right results and support flawless vehicle builds.

A Typical Day

• Ensure proposed GD&T for new program parts meets established standards and SPE die process capability
• Ensure gravity simulations for new parts and initial morphs are capable of delivering first time dimensional quality
• Review and Buy off gage designs, and completed gages, to ensure they support die tryout and part measurement needs of SPE
• Analyze part data at each tryout quality loop and provide feedback to SPE and die supplier for areas needing correction as well as areas ok as is.
• Coordinate part dimensional quality reviews (SPIR) with all stakeholders – Dimensional Validation, Assy and Stamping plants, Engineering, Stamping Process Engineer and Program Manager
• Resolve vehicle build issues with Dimensional Validation and Assembly plant teams. Communicate stamping changes required to SPE
• Support Assembly and Stamping plant build reviews
• Identify areas to be improved – with “hard points” identified (must correct)
  
  

Successful Candidates Will Have

• Possess a strong foundation in automotive engineering with a focus on manufacturing and quality assurance.
• Expertise in various methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen Development, and APQP to drive continuous improvement and ensure product quality
• Familiarity with CAD software (CATIA, Unigraphics/NX), CAE tools (FEA), and quality control techniques (SPC, CMM).
• Experience in project management and team leadership.
