Health and Safety Specialist

Our Client, a prominent organization in the heavy manufacturing industry located in NORTHERN ONTARIO, has partnered with KEC in the search for a HEALTH AND SAFETY SPECIALIST to support their unionized plant operations. This position is ideal for a proactive and engaging safety professional with 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably within manufacturing, heavy construction, or mining environments.

The successful candidate will be someone who thrives in a shop-floor setting, demonstrating a strong boots-on-the-ground presence and a genuine commitment to fostering a positive safety culture and promoting employee engagement. A solid understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation (Green Book) is essential, as is experience conducting audits, inspections, and investigations.

Candidates with Health & Safety certifications - such as CRSP, CSP, CMSP, or CHST - will be considered strong assets. The role also requires excellent interpersonal skills, a structured and detail-oriented approach, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
