Reporting to the Shipping + Receiving Supervisor (Mississauga), the Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for all aspects of Shipping and Receiving at Maple Lodge Farms Mississauga location.
Shift: Mon – Fri – 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm (Shift flexibility required, Fully on-site)

- Responsible for ensuring all products being shipped and received are packaged as per approved procedures to avoid damage.
- Ensures products shipped to other federally registered establishment conform to the associated regulatory requirements.
- Follows First-In, First-Out (FIFO) procedure to ensure that oldest product in facility is shipped first to ensure customers receive fresh product with the longest shelf life.
- Completes all required Shipping + Receiving documentation accurately.
- Inspects and ensures that carriers used to load or unload goods are clean, and do not pose a food safety hazard.
- Assists in the planning and organizing warehouse activities relating to Shipping & Receiving, transportation, receiving returns, order filling, inventory control, and storage.
- Implements corrective action and process improvements when and where appropriate.
- Maintains a clean and safe warehouse environment.
- Policies, Processes & Procedures a. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Able to support other shifts during vacation coverage.
- Minimum one-year hands on practical experience in Shipping & Receiving
- Previous experience driving BT counterbalance forklift
- Experience with pick list/order picking preferred.
- Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.
- Computer literacy (MS Office).
- High School Diploma
- Forklift license required
