What You’ll Do

• Provide great customer service by ensuring the store shelves are stocked and by responding to customer needs
• Maintain and stock product displays and shelves that meet company standards
• Ensure accurate product scanning and identify inventory needs and assist with ordering
• Setup company-directed promotions and programs
• Keep department areas neat and ensure health and safety standards

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience;
• To assist in the overseeing of the meat wrapping operation, ensuring product is stocked and maintained on the selling floor and that the department runs in an efficient and effective manner;
• To stock, merchandise and maintain meat freezers, counters and bunkers;
• To fill & maintain fresh meat counter;
• To be responsible for the proper rotation and setting up of the fresh meat counter;
• To respond to all customer inquiries, requests and complaints, maintaining good customer relations at all times;To assist in the training of new meat clerks;
• To assist in the ordering of product, under the direction of the Meat manager;
• To clean all equipment used, ensuring all sanitation and safety policies and procedures are adhered to;
• To perform physical aspects of the job, including heavy lifting (>50 lbs.);
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

• Exceptional customer service skills;
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, afternoons, evenings, nights and weekends;
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in the retail meat industry;
• Excellent knowledge of all meat cuts;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
