AZ/DZ Driver

GFL Environmental is looking for an G/DZ/AZ Commercial Box Truck Operator to join our growing liquid team out of our Brantford location. The Commercial driver will require a high level of motivation, professionalism, and customer service, which will be used to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote GFL’s wide range of service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections of trucks assigned.
• Complete daily routes as assigned by the Operations Manager
• Provide exceptional on-site service to customers and continuously promotes GFL’s service offerings.
• Operate a box truck, deliver products, and pick up commercial wastes such as oil filters, Plastics, drums of automotive fluids, as well as other related products. Also, service Parts washers/Spray Gun Machines
• Complete service paperwork in accordance with GFL and TDG regulations - Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab, components, and other assigned equipment.
• Participate in GFL’s safety programs including safety meetings, last minute risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

• G/DZ/AZ Driver’s License with a clean drivers abstract
• DZ/AZ - Ability to drive manual transmission (Required)
• Available full-time for day shift (8-10 hour shifts)
• Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques
• Able to work independently.
• Customer service experience
• Self-motivated attitude
• Experience working in a safety sensitive environment.
• Ability to work out of town and do potential overnights.
• Must be flexible and dependable.
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in difficult situations.
• Overtime as required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Manual dexterity, ability to lift 75+ lbs required.
• Waste experience is considered an asset
