- You sterilize instruments and set up tools as needed.
- You reassure patients before and after their procedure and ensure they feel at ease showing empathy.
- You clearly explain the post-operative medication (eye drops) schedule to patients.
- You coordinate the flow of patients in and out of the operating room.
- You are comfortable working on your feet in the operating room.
- You are a stickler for details and work with precision and accuracy.
- You will be cross-trained as a Sterilization Assistant (once the initial training is completed).
- You find it easy to connect with others and quickly build trust.
- You have a sense of responsibility and take your role seriously.
- You have a definite interest in the field of health and customer service.
- You are comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset).
- Your experience in the healthcare field is considered an asset (Optometric Assistant, Orderly, Practical Nurse, Dental Assistant, Pharmacy Lab Technician, Sterilization Assistant, Animal Health Technician, Veterinary Assistant, Medical Device Reprocessing Technician, etc.).
- You have excellent communication skills, you speak English et français également (advanced intermediate level of French required due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with our French-speaking patients).
- Schedule: You have flexible work availability Monday to Friday (start time between 6:30am and 8:00 am).
