The Account Manager will be the main liaison between Rainbow and their customer. It is the responsibility of the Account Manager to address the customer’s needs, while building and maintaining a strong relationship. The Account Manager serves to understand the customer's requirements, plans how to meet the demand, and maximizes sales generation for the company as a result.

Key Responsibilities
Providing ongoing account support to assigned customer(s)
- Understanding the assigned account program
- Helping to implement programs
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify sales opportunities and to develop sales plans
- Conducting sales research and identifying new sales opportunities
- Developing customer solutions
- Review Sales on a daily, weekly, and quarterly schedule
- Provide relevant suggestions that boost sales performance, provide marketing support for internal and customer promotions
- Understanding the market, industry and competitors
- Actively engages in all areas of the business to gain and demonstrate hands on knowledge. ie- Merchandising, Horticulture, Purchasing, Fulfillment, Logistics
- Maintain and nurture relationship with customer’s representatives (buyers etc)
- Responsible for price negotiation with customer
- Ensure pricing is in line with Rainbow and customer profitability/ margin requirements
- Actively develop and lead the account team, searching for areas to improve efficiency, optimism and profitability.
- Ensure account team is engaged and thriving operationally
- Actively exemplify an Appreciative Leadership style, promoting inclusion and collaboration
- Documenting processes and maintaining sales department records
- Maintain internal electronic database structure and organization (Server, Share Point)
- Processing customer orders with accuracy and timeliness using software tools
- Resolving customer discrepancies
- Create, type, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, reports, and related material
- Data integrity of catalogue (checking for correct prices, discount levels, and product requirements)
- Collaborate with internal departments
- Working with Demand Replenishment Processes
- Daily Replenishment
- Forecasting and Budgeting
- Maintain and nurture relationships within the industry
- Attend relevant tradeshows
- Comparison shopping
- Builds market “play books” for each program
- Effectively communicates program to Merchandising Team
- Actively builds good rapport
- Actively plans and participates in weekly meetings
- Communicate program to Customer
- Providing Support to customers, dealing with any questions or issues that may arise
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Excellent data entry skills (compiling, transcribing and reviewing)
- Strong analytical, data management and critical thinking skills
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
$80,000-100,000/yr depending on experience
