Key Responsibilities �� System & Codebase Enhancement
  • Modify and enhance Fixed Income systems to support enterprise-wide data cataloging.
  • Analyze legacy and active production codebases to:
    • Annotate and define risk datasets.
    • Trace data flow and transformations across systems.
Metadata & Data Governance
  • Contribute to metadata management, data schema alignment, and governance initiatives.
  • Ensure automatic publishing of definitions via build system updates.
Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Partner with upstream/downstream application teams.
  • Create robust, documented data lineage maps for better compliance and system transparency.
Required Skills & Qualifications �� Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related.
  • 5+ years with large-scale production systems and complex environments.
Technical Expertise
  • Programming Languages:
    • Deep expertise in Perl, Java, and SQL.
  • Environments & Tools:
    • Linux systems, shell scripting.
    • JSON, YAML.
    • Scheduling tools like Autosys.
  • Frameworks:
    • Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate.
  • Proven capability to interpret, document, and reengineer data processes.
Domain Knowledge
  • Deep understanding of Fixed Income and FX trading systems.
  • Strong grasp of data flows in financial risk systems.
Soft Skills
  • Exceptional analytical and documentation abilities.
  • Effective communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Independent, problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with C++.
  • Experience in data streaming/messaging platforms.
  • Involvement in enterprise data governance or metadata projects.
  • Exposure to build systems and CI/CD pipelines.
