The Fixture Engineer is responsible for supporting the new model team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a stamping environment, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Agilus is recruiting for a Fixture Engineer in the Automotive Industry in Lasalle, Ontario.
The Fixture Engineer is responsible for supporting the new model team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a stamping environment, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
A Typical Day
- Fixture Engineer (New Model) will help coordinate and follow-up on New Product Launches and ECN changes
- Quote, Source (with New Model Manager) and tracking of Check Fixtures
- Design and develop Check Fixtures with fixture shop for use in tooling and stamping operations, ensuring they meet product specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product requirements and translate them into fixture designs.
- Work with New Model and production teams to implement fixture designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fixture performance, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of fixture designs, modifications, and testing results.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, toolmakers, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration of fixtures into the manufacturing process.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fixture design, tooling, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or stamping environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly stamping operations.
- Knowledge of materials, machining processes, and fabrication techniques.
- Able to read and understand GD&T
- Read and understand CMM Layouts
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
