Dovre Group is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Construction Management Representative (CMR) in Soldier’s Pond, NL

Function

Construction expertise are required to assist Transmission Operations with the office renovation at Soldiers Pond. Proponent shall have extensive expertise in areas that include, but are not limited to, contractor management, construction methodology, technical trades, and safety.

Generally, the role involves conducting safety orientations, participating in tailboards, preparing daily reports, and ensuring that contractor is adhering to the contract documents. Also included is oversight of company safety plans, environmental plans, and oversight of contractor’s quality plan.

Please note this is a short term opportunity with an expected duration of (1) one month. There is an opportunity to extend for an additional month.

Requirements

The incumbent must meet or exceed the following criteria to be considered eligible for this Work:

• Shall be able to demonstrate recent experience with the scope of work
• Shall provide industry references for work in similar roles;
• As a minimum, proponent shall have a diploma in a trade from a recognized school with 15 years of experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Higher levels of technical training are acceptable.
• Shall possess a valid driver’s license;
• Shall be legally qualified to work in Canada;
• Shall be fluent (spoken and written) in English.
• Dates will be refined once the contractor schedule has been finalized.
• Candidate should have access to a tablet or laptop and know how to use it to complete daily forms and send information to project team.
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office suite.
• Candidate shall have good communications skills and be assertive with contractor as required.
• Familiarity processes and procedures for terminal station construction is an asset.
• Required training including:
• Fall Protection;
• Confined Space Access;
• Powerline Hazards;
• First Aid
