About the Position
- The Miele Professional Division encompasses appliances in the areas of commercial dishwashing, laundry technology, laboratory technology, and dental and medical technology. To maintain the high-quality standard of our products, as a service technician at Miele, you have not only the latest tools and measurement technology at your disposal but can also rely on your colleagues, your manager, and the support of the specialists at headquarters at all times to perform your tasks.
Now that you know about us, we want to learn more about you! We are looking for someone who can:
- Collaborate with team members to ensure we provide our clients with the highest standard of service experience.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain professional appliances on-site at hospitals, pharmaceutical labs, dental offices, restaurants, veterinary offices, universities, etc.
- Carry out the services and repairs for which the technician is trained, as assigned. This includes completing work, performing tests for measurement protocols and documentation, and ordering parts.
- Organize, maintain, and keep track of company-provided vehicles, tools, test equipment, computers, and other assigned company assets.
- Refer to schematic and wiring diagrams, as well as product manuals, and disassemble components to diagnose and troubleshoot appliances.
- Exhibit strong enthusiasm for operating in a field service setting, with established skills in successfully interacting with clients.
- Undertake special projects or tasks as assigned or deemed necessary for the Professional division.
- Be willing to travel both domestically and internationally.
This convinces us:
- Education includes technical schools, technical colleges, or apprenticeships in electrical professions, such as electricians, mechanics, HVAC, mechatronics technicians, energy electronics technicians, radio and television electronics technicians, electronics technicians for devices and systems, medical technicians, or comparable roles.
- Two years of professional experience in relevant areas of responsibility, particularly in the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial, medical, and laboratory appliances and equipment, are an asset.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Good understanding of wiring and mechanical diagrams, with the ability to diagnose and test electrical and mechanical components.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Solid technical understanding of computers.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs and climb ladders at least 28 ft high, supporting a maximum weight of 325 lbs.
