Communications Consultant

Communications Consultants work closely with different business areas to support corporate projects and business initiatives and report to the Team Leader, Communications. Working within a professional communications team, the Communications Consultant will research, plan, write, and implement communications plans that directly contribute to achieving Agricorp’s business objectives.
The Role
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement communications plans and solutions that align with communications strategies and business objectives
- Develop appropriate communications responses for projects, internal communications, and/or established Agricorp programs, and make recommendations to management
- Develop effective communications plans to convey Agricorp messages to our customers and employees
- Monitor Communications budget expenditures and procurement contracts, including tracking expiry dates, request for procurement and deliverables
- Support quarterly and annual budget forecasting in Communications
- Maintain strong working relationships with vendors to ensure continuity and value
- Advocate for Agricorp’s established brand principals, including compliance and development of principles
- Manage multiple communications processes at once
- Identify and anticipate issues and risks with communications deliverables and milestones and resolve or mitigate issues as they arise
- Demonstrate proficiency in design principles, information design, proofreading, and attention to detail
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with other Communications team members to meet deliverables on time and achieve quality results, under general guidance
Job status: Permanent
Salary: $69,363 - $81,603
Work status: Full time in office or hybrid work arrangements are available
Location: Must live in Ontario to perform this role
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as communications, English, public relations or journalism, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in communications that includes experience in overseeing the development of creative concepts and communication materials, communications public relations planning and implementation, and project management
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Project, and with Adobe Acrobat
