Our Winnipeg Branch is seeking a FULL-TIME SENIOR IT SUPPORT SPECIALISTto provide desktop support, technical support and network administration services to users working in Canada and the US.
FLOFORM Countertops is a Canadian company with its head office in Winnipeg, MB and has 16 branches and 5 manufacturing facilities located in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Position Summary
As the primary relationship manager of a team of expert external service providers is responsible for the development and execution of the organizational IT strategy. Ensures the IT systems, software and hardware are meeting the needs of the company and the end user in Canada and the U.S – this includes development, testing, and maintenance. Will also research new solutions, make recommendations, write SQL reports, troubleshoot and administer disaster recovery initiatives.

Qualifications
- Related secondary education with 5 years of experience an asset
- Advanced computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products, SQL administration, windows server and Microsoft Dynamics GP
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of accounting
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Manages time, cost, and feasibility studies
- Assists in forecasting hardware and software needs, and
- Works with other areas to develop policies and procedures and to resolve technical problems
- Oversees and provides direction to the IT Support resource
- Builds custom reports to maximize efficiencies
- Administers the company network
- Provides end user support for hardware and software
- Administers SQL Database
- Sources, orders and sets up new workstations
- Administers disaster recovery initiative
- Recommends new solutions to improve or streamline IT processes
- Coordinates with external consultants and review proposals
