Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Property Administrator to join our team in Halifax. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our managed properties, ensuring excellent service delivery to our clients and tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports, including operating expenses and budgets
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including rent collection and vendor payments
- Maintain accurate tenant and property records using our property management software
- Prepare and distribute tenant communications, including newsletters and notices
- Assist in lease administration, including move-ins, move-outs, and renewals
- Support the property management team in various administrative tasks and special projects
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in commercial property administration or a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (French is an asset)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
