Role description:

Arcadis Canada inc. est à la recherche d’un(e) Technicien ou Technicienne junior en environnement pour un stage d’été avec notre équipe à notre bureau à Longueuil, QC. Ceci est une opportunité pour un individu dynamique recherchant une carrière dans une firme de consultants en environnement.

Le (la) candidat(e) aussi bien travailler en équipe que de manière indépendante et soutenir un milieu de travail sain en matière de santé et de sécurité.

Ce stage requiert une attention particulière aux détails, une solide éthique de travail et d’excellentes compétences analytiques. Le (la) candidat(e) retenu(e) sera responsable de la collecte de données sur le terrain, l'échantillonnage des sols et la préparation des rapports journaliers et l’analyse et l’interprétation de données environnementales. Ce poste est pour un emploi à l'extérieur.

Responsabilités:

• Collecte de données sur le terrain;
• Échantillonnage des sols;
• Superviser les activités de chantier et assurer la coordination avec les intervenants et les sous-traitants;
• Réaliser les travaux de description de sol et d’échantillonnage de sol;
• Rédiger les rapports journaliers et les notes de terrain;
• Analyser et interpréter les données;
• Mettre en application le programme de santé et de sécurité.
• Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes pouvant aider à la réalisation du projet.
  
  

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Technicien ou Technicienne en environnement de terrain minutieux(euse), bien organisé(e) et fiable pour joindre à notre équipe au bureau de Longueuil, Québec. Le rôle requiert un désir de travailler à l’extérieur sur des sites de construction et des sites opérationnels, de voyager à travers le Québec, un permis de conduire avec accès à un véhicule, la carte ASP Construction. Le (la) candidat(e) devrait avoir une formation technique ou bien l’expérience terrain dans des études environnementales, particulièrement dans la caractérisation et réhabilitation des sites contaminés.

Qualités et expérience:

• Œuvrant vers un baccalauréat en génie, géoscience, sciences environnementales; ou un diplôme en technologie environnementale de préférence.
  
  

Qualités considérées comme un atout:

• Avoir un minimum de 1+ année d’expérience dans des fonctions similaires
• Avoir une très bonne connaissance de la langue française et avoir une connaissance de la langue anglaise (un atout).

Arcadis Canada Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, well-organized, and reliable Junior Environmental Technician Intern to join our team in the Longueuil, Quebec office. This is an opportunity for a dynamic individual seeking a career in an environmental consulting firm.

Candidates must be able to work well both independently and as part of a team, supporting a healthy workplace with respect to health and safety.

This intern position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and excellent analytical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for field data collection, soil sampling, and the preparation of daily reports, as well as the analysis and interpretation of environmental data. This intern position requires the person to do outdoor fieldwork.

Role accountabilities:

• Field data collection;
• Soil sampling;
• Supervise site activities and coordinate with stakeholders and subcontractors;
• Carry out soil description and sampling work;
• Write daily reports and field notes;
• Analyze and interpret data;
• Implement the health and safety program.
• Perform any other related tasks that may assist in the completion of the projects
  
  

We are seeking an adaptable and detail-oriented individual with initiative, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The role requires a desire to work outdoors on construction and operational sites, frequent travel across Quebec, a valid driver’s license with access to a car, and a valid ASP Construction card. Candidates should have technical training or field experience in environmental studies, particularly in the characterization and remediation of contaminated sites.

Qualifications and experience:

• Working towards a degree in Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Sciences; or Diploma in environmental technology preferred.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a minimum of 1+ years of internship or co-op experience in a similar role
• Have a very good knowledge of French and some knowledge of English (an asset)

The salary range for this position is $20-$33 per hour. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
