Your Impac

tAs a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a vital role in placing purchase orders and tracking their progress to fulfillment while managing on-hand inventory to meet demand. You will ensure timely and cost-effective execution of material purchases from suppliers to meet commercial requirements and in accordance with regulatory procedures. Your efforts will directly contribute to our company’s success by managing inventory stock levels for a variety of products at various warehouses

Key Responsibiliti

  • esProcess all types of purchase orders including but not limited to warehouse and drop ship (direct) as require
  • d.Actively track all open purchase orders and communicate changes and any issues that could negatively impact timely fulfillment of customer order
  • s.Collaborate with Principal Directors / Account Managers to establish and maintain forecasts and maintain reorder levels for stocked items. Plan and execute purchases to manage inventor
  • y.Understand business requirements of Account Managers and customers. Execute on these requirements in a timely and efficient manner by negotiating with suppliers to obtain optimal price, delivery and term
  • s.Manage import/regulatory documents and work with external brokers to ensure orders are moving through to destinatio
  • n.Coordinate vendor return material authorizations and credit memos should material need to be returned to the supplie
  • r.Actively seek process improvement opportunities. Work collaboratively with colleagues to recommend changes and use best practices to streamline wor
  • k.Responsible for all trained Purchasing SOP’s and Work Instructions that are delegated by the Director of Operation
  • s.Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Operation

What You’ll Br

  • ingBachelor’s degree and 3+ years of work experience, including as least one year within the purchasing, supply chain/logistics fie
  • ld.Demonstrated expertise with computer skills and in ERP syst
  • emsStrong understanding of inventory planning and lean management as well as import and exports. Distribution and/or chemical industry preferr
  • ed.Excellent attention to detail, follow through, organization, time management, and written and verbal communication skil
  • ls.A proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to work both independently and collaborativ
