The Opportunity:
The Resource Manager for Major Projects will oversee the allocation and management of resources across large-scale infrastructure and engineering projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational and leadership skills to ensure optimal resource utilization and project success. The Resource Manager will work closely with project teams, executives, and stakeholders to align resources with project goals and timelines.

What you can expect to do here:
- Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of human, financial, and material resources across multiple major projects, ensuring efficiency and alignment with project objectives.
- Workforce Planning: Collaborate with project managers and department leads to forecast resource needs and address gaps proactively.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between project teams, executives, and stakeholders to ensure resource-related challenges are addressed effectively.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze resource utilization, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated within financial constraints.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of resource allocation, utilization, and performance metrics.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on resource status, challenges, and recommendations.
- Travel Coordination: Support project teams and executives with travel arrangements and logistics as required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in resource management, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
- Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and office tools (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management or resource management are an asset.
- Experience with workforce planning
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage resource planning for large-scale projects.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills to assess resource utilization and identify areas for improvement.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing project needs and travel as required.
