The LTL Carrier Coordinator will be responsible for sourcing and overseeing relationships with third-party carriers and cross docks to optimize performance, enhance customer experience, and streamline delivery operations across Canada and the US.

- Driver & Customer Relations Carrier Sourcing Solution: Sourcing and onboarding new carriers to align with our operational and strategic needs. The carrier coordinator will work closely with our operations, pricing, and sales teams in structuring our network solutions to support our non-asset growth strategy. They will be involved in researching, identifying, and onboarding new carriers and cross docks in all regions of North America.
- Invoice Exceptions Reviews: Reviewing and addressing discrepancies in carrier invoices, collaborating with relevant teams such as the Operations and Accounts Payable to rectify issues and maintain accuracy in the supply chain process.
- Building and managing Carrier Relationships: This involves regular communication, addressing concerns, and fostering a collaborative environment to improve overall performance and customer satisfaction. Working alongside our operations team to manage day-to-day relationships.
- Scorecard and Performance Management: Managing our carrier scorecards and engaging in reoccurring service reviews. This includes general cost KPIs, Service KPIs and working with our operations to improve unique nuances with each region and carrier. Working closely with our operations, engage in identifying continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve service.
- Cost Optimization: Efficiently utilizing the carrier network to reduce delivery costs without compromising service quality. Analyzing carrier options and negotiating favorable terms to achieve cost savings. Analyze and optimize options for improved level of services, costs, accessorial charges, and transit times.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role involving procurement, logistics, and/or transportation.
- Experience working within complex logistics or supply chain networks, demonstrating an understand of managing multiple stakeholders and operational intricacies, considered to be an asset.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as documentation, record-keeping, and data analysis.
- Strong organizational abilities to effectively manage various aspects of carrier coordination.
- Excellent communication skills to build and maintain relationships with carriers and internal teams.
- Proven negotiation skills considered to be an asset.
- Medium to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, highly organized.
- Proven ability to manage many relationships, both internally and externally.
