Reporting to the Chief Accountant - Shared Financial Services, you will be responsible for accounting for the transactions of your assigned function(s) for all Innergex entities. You will join the Shared Financial Services team, which is responsible for accounting for all transactions in the enterprise resource planning system for all Innergex legal entities. The tasks within the team are divided by function, such as the management of cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and many others.

Reporting to the Chief Accountant - Shared Financial Services, you will be responsible for accounting for the transactions of your assigned function(s) for all Innergex entities. You will join the Shared Financial Services team, which is responsible for accounting for all transactions in the enterprise resource planning system for all Innergex legal entities. The tasks within the team are divided by function, such as the management of cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and many others.
Your day-to-day!
- Perform the accounting cycle of the assigned accounting functions within the shared financial services team for all required Innergex entities (Example of a function: Treasury management, Accounts receivable, Fixed assets, General accounting, Intercompany accounting, etc.);
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting processes for assigned functions;
- Participate in the completion of all tasks required in the integrated management software module in relation to the assigned accounting functions, from the opening to the closing of each accounting period;
- Participate in the automation and improvement of the efficiency of functional accounting processes in the integrated management software package in collaboration with the IT team;
- Prepare various value-added monthly analyses;
- Participate in the preparation of annual audit files;
- Prepare files for the remuneration and tax teams;
- Ensure compliance with internal controls;
- Be open to participating in various special assignments.
- University degree in accounting or college-level training combined with relevant experience;
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
- Experience in the accounting of a multi-entity structure;
- Experience in managing multiple currencies is an asset;
- Experience within a public company is an asset;
- Sticking to tight schedules;
- Good organizational skills and a marked aptitude for managing several tasks;
- Skills for teamwork and interpersonal relationships;
- Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is required to ensure collaboration with different stakeholders outside of Québec on a regular basis.
- The position can be based in the company's Longueuil (Quebec) headquarters, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.
- This position is a P1 level.
