Position Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the F&B Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the F&B with strict regard to rules, regulations and operational guidelines while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. This position may be performed in a restaurant, buffet operation, or on the casino floor. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Cleans tables and counters according to operational guidelines
  • Assist in the overall maintenance of F & B areas including floors, walls, windows, etc.
  • Assist Servers in replenishing coffee carts if applicable
  • Collect recyclables for removal
  • Performs opening and closing duties as required
  • Removing used dishes/glasses/cutlery/linen and paper products and disposing of them
  • according to the outlet operational guidelines
  • Assisting in overall maintenance of F&B areas including floors, walls & windows
  • Minimizing breakage by properly filling bus pans
  • Assisting in restocking and maintaining the stock and bar area
  • Covering bartenders breaks as needed
  • Running food and providing guests with additional items as required
  • Cleaning spills as they occur
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Education And Qualification Requirements

  • High School Diploma; Post Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset; Bartending certificate an asset
  • Minimum 6-month F&B work experience (POS and Server experience an asset)
  • Ability to professionally handle situations that may arise due to intoxicated guests
  • Ability to obtain NB Responsible Beverage Certification
  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Work Environment Considerations

  • Fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables;
  • This role requires extended period of standing, walking, bending and may lift up to 35 lbs.
  • The role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to business needs, and will have non-traditional work hours including holidays, evening, overnight or weekend shifts.
