As the Sr. Systems Developer you will be a member of an integral team responsible for leading and developing system-based solutions by formulating programs, developing, and maintaining codes and documenting processes for consistency and continuous improvement. You will contribute to a range of highly complex and diverse team initiatives with the support of your team members.

As the Sr. Systems Developer you will be a member of an integral team responsible for leading and developing system-based solutions by formulating programs, developing, and maintaining codes and documenting processes for consistency and continuous improvement. You will contribute to a range of highly complex and diverse team initiatives with the support of your team members.
Technologies You Have Experience With
- You have experience with C#, .Net, HTML, CSS, JQuery/Java Script and REST APIs
- You have experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Automation and Release pipelines
- Having experience with OnBase, Inspire, Electronic Signatures, Splunk, or Application Insights is an asset
- Integrating with existing systems, building new functionalities and customizing OOB features
- Ensure solutions include high quality code, unit testing and adhere to Co-operators’ IT standards
- Working closely with Solution Designers and other technology partners in translating requirements into a cohesive plan, determining technologies and options for a working solution
- Performing technical analysis, formulate design and program logic in collaboration with Co-operators’ solution design team
- Collaborating with internal/external IT teams, vendor partners and project management to ensure open communication and quality/timely deliverables
- Contributing and leading the implementation, back-out and disaster recovery plans
- Mentoring, supporting and collaborating with team members to ensure THE TEAM succeeds!
- You will travel occasionally.
- You will work on a Hybrid Team. A high degree of collaboration is required and extended work hours including evenings and weekends may be required.
- You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate

- You have five years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
- You have completed post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- You have working experience leading the development and providing guidance to others for the implementation of modern application and infrastructure design patterns, including containers.
- Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration - Bitbucket/git, ADO and Confluence.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and guide the software development practice at Co-operators.
- You have a working knowledge or experience with scripting languages.
