At Coast Hotels, our Maintenance Ambassadors are key to creating a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests and team.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Maintenance Worker 2 Ambassador, you’ll support the overall success of the hotel by handling a wide variety of general maintenance tasks and contributing to a safe, clean, and smooth-running operation. Your role combines practical know-how with top-notch customer service—and your work makes a real impact every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, helpful, and proactive service while attending to maintenance needs across the hotel.
  • Handle general repairs, upkeep, and maintenance—keeping everything from guest rooms to public areas in great condition.
  • Report and help resolve any safety, health, or security issues promptly.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and ensure safe storage.
  • Follow Coast Hotels’ standards and safety procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Support inventory tracking and assist the Maintenance Supervisor with supply needs.
  • Respond to guest and team concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for all.
  • Jump in and assist with other duties as needed—we’re a team!

What You Bring To The Team

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or building trades.
  • Education and/or certification in a trade is a strong asset.
  • A solid understanding of tools, equipment, and processes used in property maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical mobility and stamina—you’re comfortable being on the move and tackling physical tasks.
  • WHMIS training and/or registration in an apprenticeship program is a plus.
  • A flexible schedule—able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
