Position Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction of the Manager, Surveillance, this position is responsible for the installation and maintenance of video and integrated access control/alarm network equipment.This position requires the ability of the individual to work in all types of environments including confined spaces, at heights in excess of 5 metres, in limited lighting, on motorized person lifts, and in the outdoors. This position also requires monitoring to ensure the protection of company assets, ensure compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls; and assisting in efforts to maintain adherence to company policies and procedures. The Surveillance Technician ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities
- Repairs and maintain s the CCTV and Access Control systems; installs new systems
- Installs and maintains technical software and databases
- Trains team members on equipment use
- Prepares and follows an approved Preventative Maintenance Schedule
- Researches new products and technologies; provides recommendations
- Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Ensures compliance wit h licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
- Electronics Engineering Technician Diploma.
- Previous CCTV experience, and/or Alarm and Security Technician Certification an asset
- Minimum two years related experience
- Fall Protection, and Lift Training certification, or ability to obtain
- Working knowledge of AutoCad, LAN/Networking, CCTV/NTSC an asset
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to complete Surveillance Operator training
- Regular office and casino environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required
- Occasional work in confined spaces or from man-lift to service equipment
