About The Role
This role is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who thrives in a tight-knit, high-trust team environment. You will have direct access to experienced legal professionals, hands-on mentoring, training, and a clear pathway to developing your legal career.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Acting in property law and conveyancing transactions - assisting with residential and commercial property sales and purchases, and other property transactions.
- Drafting and reviewing lease agreements - providing legal support in leasing matters.
- Using PEXA for property dealings - prior experience is ideal, but training is available.
- Estate planning - preparing wills, powers of attorney, and enduring guardian documents.
- Estate Administration - preparing uncontested probate and administration applications.
- Family Provision Claims - assisting in making and defending family provision claims under the Succession Act.
- Working independently - taking responsibility for files while being supported by the partners.
- Supporting business development - there will be opportunities to contribute to marketing activities and supporting the firm's ongoing success and client relationships.
We are looking for someone who shares our client's core values of integrity, trust, client service, and long-term relationship building. You will be a great fit if you:
- Are a solicitor or law graduate with up to 2 years of experience. Or, you may be a more experienced solicitor or paralegal seeking a different opportunity.
- Have an interest in property law, conveyancing, leasing, and estate planning and administration.
- Have high attention to detail.
- Enjoy helping clients achieve their goals.
- Enjoy collaborating in a friendly, small team and contributing to a positive culture.
- Have a high degree of professionalism and strong communication skills with clients and colleagues.
- Are familiar with or open to learning PEXA for electronic conveyancing transactions.
