Title: Coordinator, Men’s Health and Wellness

Salary: $57,888 - $72,360 - $79,596 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract: 1-year term with possibility of extension

Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: Prince George, BC, located on the ancestral territories of the Lheidli T’enneh Nation – Onsite or Remote if living outside of Prince George – Frequent travel to Northern First Nations communities is required.

About The Role

As Coordinator, Men’s Health and Wellness, you will help implement and advance the Northern Regional Men’s Health and Wellness Action Plan. You will be driving engagement, collaboration, and coordination to implement key priorities, ensuring alignment with the Northern First Nations Health and Wellness Plan. You will be working closely with communities as part of a regional team, you will lead local engagement activities and integrating resources to meet strategic and operational needs. Additionally, you will be bridging collaboration between the First Nations Health Authority and the DUDES Club. You will also be frequently required to travel to the Northern First Nations communities we serve.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have/be –

Education & Experience

  • A diploma with demonstrated coursework in First Nations studies, and 1-2 years of significant, recent, and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the regional health authority systems and services, particularly on working with First Nations individuals, communities or organizations on health and wellness issues.
  • Experience coordinating and delivering traditional health and wellness/medicine within community.
  • Experience in working with budgets.

Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of Northern BC First Nations traditional health and wellness, cultural protocols, and practices, as well as the broader BC healthcare system and First Nations health landscape.
  • Strong understanding of First Nations health and wellness system needs, and the importance of relationship-based care to deliver holistic, integrated, and culturally respectful services.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
