Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Prepare business valuations for transactions, reorganizations, and matrimonial purposes.
- Prepare financial projections and business plans.
- Assist with transaction-related activities such as conducting due diligence, performing working capital analyses, and liaising with key stakeholders to provide and collect relevant information.
- Assist with the quantification of damages for legal disputes.
- Other accounting work, such as forensic accounting for shareholder disputes, fraud allegations etc.
- Prepare clear, concise, and professional reports related to the above.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- CPA designation required.
- 3+ years’ experience working in an accounting firm (or similar role in industry).
- Prior experience with business valuations is an asset but not required.
- A demonstrated interest in pursuing a Chartered Business Valuer (CBV) qualification, which will be fully funded by the Firm, is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to convey complex financial and technical concepts in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- A detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all deliverables.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and client service.
