Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Central Fill Assistant to join our team at Neighbourly BC Central Fill Solutions in Burnaby, BC.
The schedule will include weekday shifts, including evenings until 9:00 PM, and Saturdays 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Job Description
Reporting to the Central Fill Manager, and under the supervision of a pharmacist, this role is responsible for supporting central fill operations in accordance with provincial standards and company protocols.
Responsibilities
- This role is responsible for performing specific central fill functions as outlined by provincial regulations and standards of practice.
- Assemble prescription medications in compliance with the company's quality and productivity standards.
- Assemble the products continuously and repetitively in a clean environment.
- Pulling, counting, labelling, and compounding prescriptions.
- Preparation of compliance packaging for LTC homes.
- Operation of automated packaging equipment.
- Inventory, ordering, processing, and receiving.
- Preparation of orders, checking and fixing packaging before delivery.
- Handle small materials for assembly.
- Keep the workplace clean, neat, and professional.
- Carry out checks to ensure the quality of the work done.
- Identify problems and causes related to production and notify your supervisor.
- Propose continuous improvement methods.
- Ensure manufacturing process efficiency and accuracy.
- Requisition of supplies and materials.
- Perform production processes both accurately and timely.
- Prepare production reports.
- Manage operation machinery aligned with the computer system.
- Provide strategic solutions to ensure production objectives are met.
- Miscellaneous tasks to support the Store Operator, Pharmacist, and central fill operations.
- Previous Pharmacy Assistant experience is preferred.
- Experience in a Central Fill setting or Long-Term Care Pharmacy is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Synmed automation systems (or similar automated dispensing systems) is an advantage.
- Compounding experience is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
