The Opportunity:

Reporting to the VP, Operational Excellence, the Process Engineer will evaluate processes to optimize operational capability and review the impact of the change to manage people and technology impacts to ensure that the changes meet and enhance operations. They will work closely with cross-functional subject matter experts to analyze operational process gaps to address issues, improve process capability, meet quality control standards and ensure processes are compliant and adhere to regulatory standards. In this role, the incumbent will also be responsible for working with our Quality team to ensure operations meet both internal and external parties’ quality requirement.

They will lead the implementation of process improvement initiatives and be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in continuous improvement projects. They will play a significant role in organizational development through on-the-job training and mentoring of team leaders.

The role requires a high level of accountability and flexibility, along with a passion and ability for working in a high growth-matrix organization. It requires an individual who is adept at handling many competing priorities, while ensuring that requirements are unambiguous, clear, testable, and operationalized in alignment with the business objectives.

A Day in the Life (What you will do here):

  • Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows and is proficient in being able to document current state and future state processes.
  • Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing and testing new procedures.
  • Visually maps out and documents processes (current state & future state), ensuring that each step is clearly represented and easily understood by all stakeholders.
  • Assembles reports to document process status and change.
  • Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades.
  • Communicates findings and proposals to upper management.
  • Has strong Change Management skills to be able to identify training needs and provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes.
  • Conducts risk assessments to proactively develop mitigation strategies.
  • Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Communicates with and effectively manages cross functional stakeholders to understand their business requirements and develops a cohesive implementation approach taking into consideration their specific needs.
  • Monitors the post-implementation solution to ensure it is functioning as intended and providing expected results.
  • Documents best practices and lessons learned to continuously improve the implementation process and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Facilitates business reviews to perform analysis of existing current state and future state processes and business solutions.
  • Understands the relationships, dependencies, and impact of relevant business functions.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the manager


What you need to ensure you are set up for success:

  • 5+ years of experience overseeing multiple projects.
  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operational engineering tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
  • Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment.
  • Experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes.
  • Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
  • Experience working under pressure in a cross-functional organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and influence.
  • Proven customer-facing and facilitation experience.
  • Critical thinking, judgement, strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated track record of delivery on various design projects.
  • Healthcare Business background with PSP (Patient Support Programs) and/or HCP (Health Care Providers) support is an asset.
  • Impeccable written and spoken communication skills.
