This position also requires proficiency in forklift operation, packaging, inventory management, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring the timely purchase of necessary shipping materials and personal protective equipment (PPE). The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring that shipments are processed on time and inventory is accurately tracked.

Shipping and Receiving:
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage, and verify items against purchase orders.
- Organize and maintain storage areas, ensuring products are stored safely and efficiently.
- Prepare and pack outgoing shipments, ensuring they are properly labeled and securely packaged.
- Dispatch couriers and arrange for timely deliveries based on customer or company needs.
- Prepare products for shipment by packing them securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Label and mark packages with appropriate shipping information.
- Assist in tracking inventory levels and help ensure stock accuracy.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and update records as needed.
- Monitor stock levels of shipping materials (boxes, tape, labels, etc.) and personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff.
- Send purchase requisitions to replenish PPE and shipping material inventory.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving area is kept clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Maintain clear and efficient communication with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
- Provide regular updates on shipping status and potential delays to relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and couriers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues with shipments or deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory.
- Track shipment statuses and communicate with other departments regarding delays or issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in warehouse operations or logistics are a plus.
- Proven experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role.
- Experience in operating forklifts.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience using inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Prior experience in dispatching couriers or managing deliveries.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with inventory management systems or software.
- Experience purchasing materials or managing vendor relationships.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, walking, bending, and squatting for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including exposure to varying temperatures.
