Your Opportunity
Reporting to the Manufacturing Plant Director, the Production Supervisor will supervise, improve and coordinate the activities of the Team Leads and Production Team Members. The team will work together to assemble an entire product or component of a product that ultimately satisfies our customer’s needs in both quality and service.
Wage – $32/hr
Shift – Tuesday to Friday 6:30am-5:00pm

Reporting to the Manufacturing Plant Director, the Production Supervisor will supervise, improve and coordinate the activities of the Team Leads and Production Team Members. The team will work together to assemble an entire product or component of a product that ultimately satisfies our customer’s needs in both quality and service.

Shift – Tuesday to Friday 6:30am-5:00pm
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive a culture of safety and compliance to environmental standards. Encourages and promotes employee engagement and effective incident management through active participation in incident review, investigation, and corrective action creation.
- Monitor all team members to ensure they are fully trained for all positions within the cell, trained back-ups are available in cases of absence, and any performance improvement in skill, ability or availability is reported to your manager immediately, and training records are up-to-date.
- Assemble components or products in an efficient and quality conscious manner following prescribed procedures and consolidate any and all partial skids wherever possible.
- Monitor team member productivity per shift to ensure performance and quality standards are maintained and any concerns, whether procedural or otherwise, are resolved and ensure first-offs are performed and signed off prior to staring production.
- Maintain and monitor material inventory accuracy and notify management of any discrepancies in component quantities and potential shortages to ensure inventory is properly stocked for production. (i.e. all assembly hardware, metal components, wiring components, etc.)
- Serve as a link between subordinates and other departments on those areas involving production concerns, quality issues and accident investigation reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in the Plant sponsoring use of Lean and Six Sigma tools and achieve and sustain maturity levels in our company Manufacturing System Model.
- Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources and equipment.
- Build strong teams, coach, and work on their development. Conduct annual reviews with your team to evaluate job performance and goal achievement set out for the year. Provide constructive feedback to support your team and their objectives for the coming year.
- Support, build trust and demonstrate respect to all levels within the organization.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School/G.E.D. required, post-secondary technical education preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience managing in a manufacturing environment and leading team.
- Knowledge in manufacturing and a background in brazing, refrigeration, appliance or similar industry is an asset
- Strong demonstrated experience in Lean, Kaizen and or /Six Sigma is desired.
- Operational knowledge in the areas of: Environmental Health and Safety, WSIB, and Employment Standards
- Excellent interpersonal communications with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proven leader with experience managing within a Manufacturing organization, able to motivate teams and drive accountability.
- Organized and detail oriented, and adaptable to change.
