Our Housing & Community Development Department is looking for a dedicated Integration Navigator to join the team.

Position Responsibilities

  • Connects employers with learning opportunities, local resources, and service providers to improve newcomer integration and retention.
  • Integration helps newcomers — individuals recently arrived in Canada — understand workplace expectations, build community connections, and access resources for long-term success.
  • Work closely with the Grande Prairie Local Immigration Partnership Coordinator, service providers, employers, and ethnocultural organizations to plan learning and networking sessions, promote resources, and support workforce integration efforts.

Qualifications

  • Experience with newcomers, immigrants, or in diverse settings (2+ years).
  • Strong understanding of immigrant integration and the challenges faced when adapting to a new community.
  • Facilitation experience (2+ years).
  • Confident public speaker with the ability to engage diverse audiences in learning sessions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Work, Human Resources, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with inclusive practices, cross-cultural communication, or settlement supports for newcomers—especially in Grande Prairie—is an asset.

Hours

The standard workweek consists of an average of 35 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.

Compensation

Starting Salary $29.88 per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement.
