Family Lawyer (2+ yr exp)

About our client: A very busy and reputable family law firm. With diverse clientele, they are committed to providing prompt and practical service through a hands-on approach in a team-oriented environment. Their lawyers and staff are team oriented and have a collegial work environment.

Position: Family Lawyer

Locations: Surrey or Abbotsford

Responsibilities

• Independently manage family law files.
• Handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
• Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.
• Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients.
• Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications.
• Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials.
• Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end.
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice.
• Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
• Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to become part of the community served.
• Enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
  
  

Compensation

• Base salary: $100,000 - $200,000, depending on the year of call. Bonus structure conducive to driven individuals.
